Fire Damaged House On KY Highway 1793 in Goshen

 

 

Fire damaged a house located at 1022 S. KY Hwy 1793 in Goshen on 12 February 2005 at approximately 10:30 pm.  North Oldham received the alarm at 10:33 pm as a “computer on fire”.  Although there was no visible smoke or flame coming from the structure at the time of arrival, heavy smoke was found on the second floor.  There was a flashover in the room of origin just prior to the attack crew making entry.

 

     

                                                                            

 

Units from Harrods Creek Fire Department assisted at the scene and South Oldham, Westport and Worthington Fire Departments provided coverage for the North Oldham and Harrods Creek districts during the fire.

Approximately 40 firefighters were either at the scene or involved in support for this fire.  There were no injuries.  One resident was evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation but refused treatment.  The point of origin was determined to be near where a computer had been located but the cause remains under investigation.  All units were clear of the scene by 2:00 am the following morning.
